Available in Internet Explorer preview only. Marquees will only display when the page is viewed in the Internet Explorer browser. In other browsers, the text will appear, but be static.

Displays the Marquee Properties box, which allows you to format selected text as a moving marquee.

Marquee PropertyDescription
Marquee Background SizeType the desired width and height of the marquee in either percent of window or pixels. If left blank, defaults to width of the entire window and height of one line of text.
Space around MarqueeTo achieve a margin of blank space between the marquee and any adjacent text, type the number of pixels of blank space you want to the left and right of marquee, and the number of pixels of blank space you want above and below the marquee. If left blank, aligns surrounding text immediately adjacent to the marquee.
Number of times to LoopSelect the number of times you want the marquee to display when the user visits this page: once; a number of times specified by you; or infinitely (as long as the user is viewing the page).
Text ScrollingType the number of milliseconds delay you want to occur between each movement of the scroll. Type the number of pixels you want the text to move with each scroll. If left blank, defaults to standard delay and movement amount.
BehaviorSelect whether you want the marquee text to scroll until it is completely out of sight; slide until the text reaches the edge of the marquee, remaining in sight; or alternate, so that when the text reaches the edge of the marquee, it bounces back and goes the opposite direction.
DirectionSelect whether you want the marquee text to move toward the left or toward the right.
Background ColorSelect a background color for the marquee by clicking the Pick button and choosing a color from the Color Picker box. The color you select appears in the color box to the left. The hexadecimal number that is used in the HTML to identify that color appears beside the color. Be sure the text color will show up well against the background color you select. Also check that the text color will show up well on browsers that do no support the marquee, and thus will not display the background color.
